My journey to working full time in real estate has taken several twists and turns. If you’d told me back when I was first out of college that I would be a full-time realtor, I wouldn’t have believed you.
My father gave me the real estate bug. He was a local home builder/ developer, and he got me involved in real estate at a young age. As a kid, I would help him around job sites, and as I got older, I became a sounding board for him when he was analyzing potential deals. After graduating from college, I tried working for my dad, but it didn't work out. With big dreams and aspirations of fame and fortune, I struck out into the world to make my mark. Working an eight-to-five job and being in my twenties didn't leave a lot of time for real estate. Still, I always had the desire to get more involved in that industry. My biggest fear was losing a steady paycheck. I simply didn't have the confidence in myself to make the leap from employee to entrepreneur.
Finally, my career as a full-time realtor began in 2015, and I’ve never looked back. My life experience has given me a deeper understanding and empathy for my clients, and it has helped shape my business.
Now, my hair has turned gray and my knees hurt when I walk up a set of stairs. My wife and I are at a place in life where we're ready for what we want—it’s time to start enjoying the fruits of our labors.
Many of my clients have felt the same way. They realized that their existing home was too big and a hassle to maintain, and they also recognized that they needed social interaction with people their age. In short, they’d reached a point in their lives where they wanted to have fun and no longer worry about the mundane aspects of home ownership.
I work with fifty-five and older individuals who are looking to transition into a simpler lifestyle. Making such a transition can be overwhelming, which is why I created the NEXT CHAPTER MOVE METHOD. My proprietary method takes the stress and chaos out of transitioning to a simpler lifestyle.
